Following previous reports on the Creative Industries – Creating Value and Creating Growth - NESTA will be hosting the launch of a new report on ‘Creating Entrepreneurship’ (published with the Higher Education Academy) which considers the skills and commercial awareness necessary for sustained growth in the creative industries.
A distinguished panel will discuss what educational provisions should be made to help prepare students to grow their own creative businesses. Panellists include Stuart Cosgrove, Head of programmes (nations and regions), Channel 4, Sir Christopher Frayling, Rector, Royal College of Art, Brian Leonard, Director of Industry, DCMS and Bruce Brown, Director of Research Development, University of Brighton. Chair: Chris Powell, Chairman of NESTA.
The report will feed into the Government’s forthcoming Green Paper on the Creative Industries. Opening comments on the research will be given by David Clews, Manager of the Art, Design & Media Subject Centre at the Higher Education Academy & Dr Michael Harris, Senior Research Fellow at NESTA.
